When you rent a handicap van you can choose from a variety of conversions including side entry and rear entry. Having access to this selection makes it easy to pick the van that best suits your trip.
A cost-effective solution
Renting a vehicle is often a cost-effective solution. Wheelchair users without access to a mobility vehicle may not regularly go out. In this case, it may be more cost-effective to only rent the vehicle you need for the trips you need.
Try before you buy
Rent before you buy! We sell the same conversions we rent. So you can try it out for up to a week and if you decide to purchase a van then your rental is free! We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates!
Temporary Need For Accessible Van
If you need a handicap van for a short-term use, or if you are not sure which model of wheelchair van and features are best for your needs, then you should strongly consider renting.

Terms & Conditions
All drivers must be over the age of 25, have a valid driver’s license, and proof of vehicle renter’s insurance (full coverage required). In addition, you must have a clean driver history and a Visa or MasterCard.
Please reach out to us for more information or availability.Our vans are regularly serviced and sanitized. All vans come with Q’Straint premium QRT wheelchair tie-downs. They are the highest quality and newest mobility vans with the best quality wheelchair conversions.
RETURNING YOUR HANDICAP VAN RENTAL
Upon return of the vehicle, the gas tank must be replenished to the level at pick-up. If returned below that level, The Mobility Van Store will charge $8/gallon for refill. There is an additional late charge of $25/hour, (not to exceed double the daily rental rate) if the van is not returned by the stated time. Please note the daily mileage limit is 100 miles per day. There is a surcharge of $2.00 / mile for overage.
CLEANING FEE
If the van requires more than a routine cleaning (dusting, exterior wash, vacuuming), a $250 fee will be applied.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in the handicap rental van. A $350 cleaning fee will be applied for non-compliance.
SERVICE ANIMALS
All service animals are permitted. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be traveling with one. The regular cleaning rate of $250 applies for cleaning up after service animals if necessary. Customers transporting non-service animals will be subject to a cleaning and damage fee of $150 or more, depending on the interior condition of the van.
WHEELCHAIR DRIVERS
Wheelchair drivers are eligible as long as the person is able to transfer in and out of the wheelchair into the driver’s seat and does not require hand controls.
MULTIPLE DRIVERS
Multiple drivers are permitted when each driver is listed on The Mobility Van Store’s rental contract, has a valid driver’s license, and is covered under a primary renter’s insurance policy.
VAN RENTAL FEATURES AND INFORMATION
All wheelchair vans for rent through The Mobility Van Store’s vans are inspected in order for you to receive a vehicle that is as reliable and comfortable as possible. We also only use rental vehicles we purchased new, not pre-owned vehicles. You’ll receive a handicap van rental with side or rear entry access, depending on your preference and the number of wheelchair users. Rentals also come with a lowered floor, wheelchair tie-downs and low mileage.

Handicap van rentals are available by reservation at our 915 N Florida Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801 location.

The service fee for this is $150 each way.
RENT TO BUY
If, after renting a handicap van, you discover you love the experience, we are happy to put 100% of your handicap van rental cost toward the purchase of your very own wheelchair van (maximum rental 1 week) within 30 days of returning your rental, with a maximum discount of $500.00. This gives you the opportunity to try before you buy a wheelchair accessible van.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Your wheelchair van rental can be canceled up to 14 days prior to rental with no penalty. After 14 days, there is a 50% fee of the total rental period for all cancellations.
